Renovation Assistance in Freiburg

Renovating a home or refreshing a rental flat requires serious stamina. Whether you are dealing with a historic Altbau apartment or modernizing a townhouse, ProfiStudis connects you with motivated, physically capable student helpers ready to tackle the heavy work.

• Heavy Material Hauling: Carrying bags of mortar, drywall panels, and heavy floor tiles up steep staircases in multistory buildings without elevators.
• Demolition & Prep Work: Tearing out old laminate, scraping off stubborn woodchip wallpaper, chipping off baseboard tiles, and bagging construction debris.
• Curbside Delivery Rescues: When freight couriers dump bulky construction pallets on the pavement, our helpers move everything directly into your workspace.
• Rubble & Waste Clearing: Shoveling, loading, and hauling renovation waste to skips or rental trailers to keep your workspace clear and safe.
• Last-Minute Replacements: If friends or previously arranged helpers back out on short notice, we find energetic substitutes to keep your project on schedule.

Our active student community is spread across the entire Freiburg area, ensuring prompt arrivals without complicated logistics.

We regularly assist clients in central and historic quarters like Stühlinger, Wiehre, Herdern, and the eco-district Vauban. Beyond the inner city, our helpers easily travel to suburban commuter communities including Gundelfingen and Merzhausen.

Whether your project is located right next to the university campus or tucked away in a quiet residential district, you can easily scale from a single helper for a few hours to an entire multi-person crew.

Organizing renovation muscle does not have to involve endless phone calls or tedious paperwork. Our digital matching process is straightforward and fast.

• 1. Describe Your Job: Fill out our brief request form. Tell us when, where in Freiburg, and what tasks need tackling (e.g., scraping wallpaper, carrying plasterboard, clearing debris).
• 2. Helper Allocation & Direct Contact: We match your task with vetted, available local students. You receive their profiles and contact details to coordinate timelines.
• 3. Job Done & Direct Payment: The helpers arrive on time and complete the agreed work. You pay their wages directly to them (starting from €14/hour in cash or bank transfer), with our intermediary matching service starting from €3.

ProfiStudis operates as an intermediary platform designed to eliminate the risks of unverified classified ads.

• Manually Vetted Profiles: We do not engage in anonymous matching. Every student profile is checked before helpers are assigned to jobs.
• 2-1 Confirmation Protocol: Helpers re-confirm their assignment 48 hours and 24 hours prior to work starting, dramatically minimizing dropouts.
• Driver's License Availability: Need someone to drive a rental transporter or haul waste to the recycling yard? Many students hold valid category B driver's licenses for shared vans like Carl & Carla, Miles, or Sixt.
• WhatsApp Crew Coordination: For larger jobs requiring 3 to 4 helpers, we set up dedicated chat channels so everyone stays synchronized.
• Replacement Guarantee: If an unexpected illness occurs, our team activates backup helpers immediately. If no replacement can be found, you receive a full refund of the matching fee.
